ReflectingIt is good to look in a mirror once in a while. There we can get a good and honest picture of our appearance and there we can see imperfections that need to be accounted for: a haircut may be needed, an exercise program may be needed, or a trip to the store for a new shirt may be in order. The Scriptures are a mirror for the way we live our lives and there we can see that some change just might be necessary.
The letter of James asks us to look in the mirror and points out that there are two massive indicators on how we are doing with this Christian life: our speech and our service. These things show what’s going on inside - these things are what God desires. It’s time to take a look in the mirror.
