The first crew is drunk. They’re having a wonderful time—it’s a party! But you have some hesitation about whether they’ll take care of your precious cargo. In fact, you discover that the route they have chosen goes across a bridge that has never been completed! In their senseless stupor (though they’re really nice guys with the best of intentions), you realize that they are going to drive their truck off the end of the bridge and everything in it will smash to pieces at the bottom of a huge chasm. Everyone on the truck and everything inside it will be lost.
The other crew (that appears a bit less fun but a lot more serious) will responsibly and certainly deliver their truck and its contents safely to your new home.
It won’t all fit on a single truck. What will you load on each of the trucks? Which truck will you choose to carry your most precious belongings? I know. This sounds like a stupid question. The answer is way too obvious. But amazingly, when it comes to our personal lives, most people load almost everything they’ve got—time, money, talent, education, family, friendships—they load every precious thing they possess onto a truck that’s headed to certain destruction. And it’s going to get there fast!
There is another truck.
