The Expedition

Most people come to church looking for something they don’t already have, hoping that perhaps they’ll find it—whatever “it” is—inside the church’s doors. The best thing about church, though, is sometimes the hardest thing for us to accept: what we find is often much more valuable than whatever we were looking for.

Most people come to church as consumers, shopping for what they want. But the true treasure comes to those who cast themselves not as consumers, but as explorers, intent on discovering whatever it is God has prepared for them to find. This Sunday, we invite you to join the expedition. Become an explorer and commit yourself to pursue the great adventure of following God.
