



Everything on television, on billboards, and in slick magazine ads tells us that there is one thing we should focus on: ourselves. A famous theological phrase from the Latin is “imitatio Christi” which means that we should have one goal in life, namely, to imitate Christ. Christ showed us the way to find life: give your life away. What?!? If that makes no sense at all to you, you’re not alone. Come find out what it means to lose your life so you can truly find it.
Life seems to be controlled by Palm Pilots, Smart Phones, calendars, schedules, task lists, and an endless list of things we should be doing if we had more time.
…It all becomes too much when we lie awake at night worried if we will get it all done.
…It all becomes too much when we can’t focus on our family / friends / children because we’re worried about the things that vie for our attention.
I don’t think God ever meant for us to live this way. Let’s look together at what Jesus has to say about worry and the future.
