Angelia Thames

Angelia Thames is the Children’s Ministry Director at Fellowship Bible Church Arapaho where she coordinates the kid’s’ programming for ages birth through 6th grade. Angelia has been married to Marc since 1994 and they have three daughters. She has been a member and volunteer in children’s and women’s ministry at FBCA since 2003. Angelia’s full-time ministry reflects a love for kids and a passion to make a difference in the life of your child. Her goal of children’s ministry at FBCA is to help kids find and follow Jesus and to serve the families of our church body and community.

“I love working with children,” Angelia says, “especially individually or in small groups where you are able to make a personal connection and have true conversation. I believe the best way to show others, including children, how to find and follow Jesus is through example and action.”

Six things that get Angelia excited when they happen:

• to see and hear your child express their faith in Jesus Christ
• to listen to your child tell me what’s happening in their life
• to hear your child pray
• to watch your child serve in the church
• to watch your child worship God
• to watch friends supporting and loving one another using Christ’s example

Angelia graduated from Midwestern State University in 1991 with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration and is currently seeking enrollment in Dallas Theological Seminary to attend classes specific to children’s ministry. Angelia enjoys almost anything outdoors like camping, going to the mountains, 4-wheeling, roller skating, snow skiing, and watching her kids play sports. She also loves to play games such as cards, dominos, Taboo, Catch Phrase, and pretty much any board game. Her favorite band is U2 (and no, I didn’t steal that one from Jeff J ).
