The Kingdom Come: The Gospel of Matthew
Led by Bill Holston Meets in the Fellowship CaféIsrael is occupied by an oppressive Roman government and the people are looking for a deliverer, someone to bring about the kingdom. Revolutionaries shout for a revolt. Others make deals with the Romans, and the religious leaders load the people down with rules.
Onto the scene, God’s anointed brings the message of the Kingdom of God through the one we’ve come to call Jesus Christ. The Gospel of Matthew contains the clear and life changing teachings of the Messiah. Join us as we study this remarkable book.
Peacemakers
Led by Dr. David Nicholson Meets in Fellowship House
Is there conflict in your life? In this class we will learn biblical principles that will help you approach conflict in a new and life giving way. Conflict is an opportunity for growth that will help you and the person with whom you are in conflict to both come out of the situation better and more loving people. Become a peacemaker and see the love of God working in your life. Cost is $10 for the book and free if you already have access to a copy of “Peacemaker” by Ken Sande.
Stories - we all got ‘em. Stories are a funny thing. We all love to read them but seldom do we really like to live them. We enjoy reading about people who have to overcome trials and temptations, but God forbid those things ever happen to us! We will keep our comfort, thank you. So why in the world does the Bible say that we should be joyful when we encounter tough times?
The Greek word for these tough
times is “peirasmos” and the Bible views these “peirasmos” times way
differently
then we do. Whatever is happening (or not happening) in your story,
God is at work. He is in control. He is shaping. Could it just be
that your “peirasmos” time will lead you to a better story?
