The Kingdom Come:  The Gospel of Matthew

Led by Bill Holston                                                     Meets in the Fellowship Café

Israel is occupied by an oppressive Roman government and the people are looking for a deliverer, someone to bring about the kingdom.  Revolutionaries shout for a revolt.  Others make deals with the Romans, and the religious leaders load the people down with rules.

Onto the scene, God’s anointed brings the message of the Kingdom of God through the one we’ve come to call Jesus Christ.  The Gospel of Matthew contains the clear and life changing teachings of the Messiah.  Join us as we study this remarkable book.

godtime: the practice of devotion

I think I’m having a mid-life crisis. One day I just realized that my life had become mostly about burden, responsibility and obligation. I longed for something more satisfying and fulfilling, but buying a shiny red sports car simply wasn’t enough. I decided that I needed a new relationship. So now, every morning, being careful not to wake my wife or children, I sneak off alone to a secret rendezvous. I’ve fallen in love again. It’s someone I’ve know for quite a long time. But lately our relationship has grown into something else—something much deeper and more meaningful than any other relationship I’ve ever had. No, I’m not having an affair. I’m sneaking off every morning to “meet my maker”. And together we’re discovering a new level of intimacy as we begin each day in a rich romp of word, thought and quiet contemplation.
