What we'll be doing...

This summer we will undertake a number of projects while the FBCA teams are in Serbia. Team members are going with the desire to serve the Serbian church in whatever way God can use their gifts. This summer, our focus will be both in the capital city of Belgrade, Serbia and in the rural area of Zajecar, Serbia.

Belgrade Bible SchoolBelgrade Bible School

Chip Bell will be teaching 2 classes at the Bible School located just outside of Belgrade. The first class is a second year, upper level class on Systematic Theology and the second class is a first year course on the book of Revelation. Chip’s training, experience and education are invaluable to those who are seeking to be involved in different types of ministry in Serbia helping people find and follow Jesus. The Bible School offers both 1 year and 2 year programs to students.

Camp TimokTimok River

Branko has a dream to have a camp where anyone can come and hear about Jesus. We will continue our work on the camp in several ways. Branko would like to have full time staff live in the renovated house located on the camp property. We would like to complete the project of bringing running water into the home and into the restroom facilities for those coming to stay at Camp Timok. Also, due to the expertise of Brain Bristow, one of the team members, he will be working with Branko to design a park layout that will best utilize the camps size and natural beauty. We will be staying across from the camp at a working farm. This is a real cultural experience and hard work, too! Camp Timok is near the Bulgarian border, in the town of Zajecar, just south of Bor.

Art Classes Watercolor Art Class

The art trip will focus on using art and artists as well as free art classes as a way to share the love of Jesus and to build His church. We will be working with the First and Second Baptist Church in Belgrade to offer free art classes for anyone who wants to come. We are excited to be offering classes for both adults and children in multiple types of artistic medium. We hope to encourage those members who attend both church services to invite friends who are not familiar with the church to the art classes to help build community and relationships. FBCA artists will be painting in the town square while others hand out invitations to the classes.
